Nice View and Dolphins Too

 
 Aloha!  Spent some time in Hawaii.  Most time was spent at work, but had some after-work and weekend time to enjoy the sun and beaches.  Nice hotel, great view of the ocean.

 Nice sunsets too!  Yes, I took this photo right in front of the hotel.

 Out at the Aviation Museum at Pearl Harbor.  Could this be the next project?

 King Kamehameha.  What would he think of Honolulu now?

 Waikiki from the top of Diamond Head.  The pink hotel, the Royal Hawaiian looks so small next to all the other hotels. I think there's a photo of my grandma in front of this pink hotel back around 1920.  Its still a beautiful hotel and has the traditional Hawaiian feel to it. 

 We went sailing on a nice catamaran which took off from the beach at Waikiki.

 

The boat went out past this light house.

 We saw some dolphins.  So cool to see them swim around the boat!

No.  These are not sharks.  Just dolphins.

Aloha!  Mahalo!

Yes. They are real!

Is it okay to pick tulips from the garden?  Every year these lovelies grow in the backyard, but I hardly see them because it is really too early to spend much time in the yard.  This year I decided to cut them and bring them in to enjoy them.  And yes, they are real!

Found some sunshine in the Caribbean with this group.

We also saw the Mayan ruins in Costa Maya, Mexico.  Where are the pictures of that????
 

Somehow Suzy became the star of the on board Game Show one night... and she was the leader of the winning team.   It's always fun to be a winner, but you'll have to ask her what she had to do to win this challenge.  I don't want to divulge that information here.

And came in 2nd  place many times....  too many times.  : )

A fun week.... but don't even ask us about Grand Cayman.

It's Disney!

When you have icicles like this......

 

You need to get away to someplace warm!

 It was fun to get away from winter and spend a few days with some of the kids at the happiest place on earth......Disneyland!!!

Some Mermaids on the Ariel ride.  As this was a favorite of the little ones, and had a short line, we "enjoyed" this ride many, many times.   What's not to love??  It's Disney!

My camera decided to stay on board the bobsleds and,
as far as I know,
continues to circle the mountain to this day.  Wheeeeeeee.

Pink with Sprinkles

We went down to visit Claire (and her family) for her 4th Birthday!
It was fun to see her gymnastics class and her pre-school.  What a busy girl!

And in other news....
Some interesting snow formations.  Will winter ever end?

Something you would never see in Tucson....

.... the car snowed in.

 Since temps will be far below freezing tonight, the car may be unavailabe for quite some time.

The snow started on Thursday night and didn't stop until Saturday morning. 
This means about 2 feet of snow on the deck and the driveway. 

 It's been a long time since we had to dig a tunnel to see the sidewalk. 

 Watch out!  Those icicles can be deadly.

Winter is really my least favorite time of year. 
How long until Spring?
