Thanksgiving in Tucson

As requested, here's my new blog. You can add this one to your growing list of "must read" blogs.

In case you were wondering, the name of this blog is based on the fact that reliable internet sources report there are 350 days of SUNSHINE every year in Tucson. To me, that is a wonderful thing!

However, this Thanksgiving Day was not one of those 350 sunny days. It hasn't rained on Thanksgiving in Arizona for 20 years, but this was the year. I don't want to blame it on my sister coming down to Arizona this Thanksgiving, as that can't possibly be true, but it is somewhat suspicious.

It was great to have most of the family here at the new house for the traditional turkey and ham along with assorted great food contributed by all. We missed those who are too far away right now and hope they will be closer by next Thanksgiving. Ken's sister and nephew came down from Phoenix, so it was nice to have extended family here too.

The day after Thanksgiving, my sister and her husband made the 2 hour drive down from where they were visiting in Phoenix to check out our new house, which was very nice of them.

Here's a photo from our backyard. You can see the sun coming out again, pushing those dark clouds back up north where they belong. The sunshine is back now and it promises to return to more normal Tucson temps this week.

So, how was that for a first blog attempt? Please feel free to comment.
