Here's #9

While we were on our extended trip ( see previous 2 new blogs) there was an addition to the family, Suzy and Casey's newest. He's our        Grandbaby #9 - Andrew Kevin.    The boys outnumber the girls by 6 to 3 now.

And here he is with his big sister and big brother.
While spending a few days with this cute family, we went to the tulip festival.

5 year old tiptoes through the tulips!
3 year old smelling the flowers.
Ken, Suzy and Casey with kids.  The kids are so excited to feed the fish.
5 year old's Mother's Day program at school!  So glad I was able to be there for this! So cute, with the pink bow in her hair!

Happy Mother's Day!

Hawaii and more

Back on board the ship for 500... I mean 5 ..days at sea on the way to Hawaii.  Went to lei making class.

here's the cabin.
Pulling into the port at Honolulu.
View from the top of Diamond Head.  Hike to the top is steep with lots of steps, but took less than an hour.
Next day, a quick flight to Kauai.   The drive to the north short was beautiful.
The road ends at Ke'e Beach and we found the trailhead for a hike up the mountain for a great view if you don't mind mud and rocks.

View of the fantastic beach below.
 And amazing coastline.
Back at the beach, fish hide under the lava rock in the crystal clear water.

 More North Shore Kauai views.
Waimea Canyon on the other side of the island.
 Waterfall.
 Another waterfall.
We took this canoe - gray one in the middle and paddled up the Wailua river.  Then hiked through muddy jungle and more muddy jungle to find the Secret Falls.

Some even swam out under the falls.
Back near our hotel in Kapa'a we saw hula dancers.
And an unwilling volunteer joined them.
Couldn't resist buying a lei from these cute girls.
Back in Waikiki for the final day.

Turtles swimming right off Waikiki. Amazing.
Surfers were having a good day.  Beach, sun, and Hawaii.  Can't wait to go back soon.
Aloha!

New Zealand and Polynesia

Back to Sydney for a few days and then the start of the second cruise.  Sydney Opera House from the Sydney Harbor Bridge walk.

Hike in Australia's Blue Mountains, known as Aussie Grand Canyon.

Here's Bondi Beach near Sydney.  Too bad it was a rainy day.
On board Celebrity cruise ship for our 2nd cruise. Formal night on the cruise.
Two stops in New Zealand - land of the Kiwis.

Then to French Polynesia, including Tahiti, Moorea and Bora Bora.

 Good snorkeling off the beach.

Fantastic snorkeling in Bora Bora, jumping off the snorkel boat.
Perfect south seas island. Can't wait to go back and stay longer.

More to come.....
