You would rather just wait until you are moving so someone else can enjoy all of your hard work. Here are some of the many improvements made to the house recently.Main level.
Finally broke down and replaced the original flooring (brown sculpted carpet) in the front room. We did the new wood laminate flooring ourselves in 2 days.
Entry and upstairs family room. All walls and ceilings painted in entry, family room, extended family room area, and dining area. Fireplace totally redone and updated, meaning old fake rock fireplace removed and replaced with new sheetrock, marble surround on fileplace with new molding. All doors painted and stair rail and posts painted.
Also painted doors in all bedrooms, bathrooms, office, and hallways including all closets.
Master bath, office and hallways not shown.
Downstairs bathroom. Painted vanity. Added other decorative touches.
Painted doors in laundry room and the two downstairs bedrooms. Painted walls in bedrooms and replaced light fixtures. Laundry room, hallways and two bedrooms not shown.
Workshop. Moved out airplane wings and car parts which had taken a large part of this space. Windows which have been blocked for years can not be seen. Completed repair work, waterproofing, and other finishing work that had never been done.
Garage
Garage floor had cracked and fallen several inches over the years. Although this in no way affected the foundation of the house, as the garage has a separate foundation from the house and no basement space is below the garage, some people found the large cracks and unlevel surface in garage to be, shall we say . . . . unsettling. So today we have the pleasure of hiring a group of guys to come in and break up all the concrete and take it all OUT of the garage. They will then come back (hopefully) on Monday to install new flat and level concrete. If you know anything about this house, you know it is a rare occasion that anyone is hired to do any work around this house. Hoping all turns out well.

You really made that house beautiful. I hope the new owners have as many happy memories as we have had inside this house. Now on to new adventures.
Update - New garage floor was completed ahead of schedule and looks great. Added bonus of having the garage floor ripped out and replaced is it forced us to clean out the garage. After the new floor was installed, we decided to paint the garage walls which had never been done before. Looks like a whole new garage, fresh and clean!
Update - We accepted an offer on the house on October 22. If all goes as planned, we will close on Dec 2. If all goes well, we will still go to Tucson mid-November and stay until the new Vineyard house is completed around the 1st of March.
Update 3 - The sale from October 22 fell through. Disappointing. We decided to go ahead and replace the floors in the main floor family room and dining area with the same wood laminate floors we put in the front room. We sold on ksl.com or craigslist most of the outdated furniture from the basement and other odds and ends we didn't want to move to the new house. We also had already packed up most of the house and moved all boxes and things that could be put into cars out to the airplane hangars. Last Wednesday Kevin came up over the next few days helped us move all the large furniture out to the hangars. The house actually looked bigger and better without all that furniture. We spent Saturday with Suzy and then drove down to Tucson on Sunday. Over the weekend we had alot of people interested in the house for some reason. This resulted in us accepting an offer today. Hope all goes well this time for a closing before Christmas.
